LG CNS participated in Amazon AI Day, held at COEX in Seoul on May 13, 2026, introducing its AI-powered Amazon advertising optimization solution, LG Optapex, to sellers in Korea.
Hosted by Amazon Global Selling Korea under the theme "Sell Smarter with AI," Amazon AI Day was designed to bring together, in one place, AI solutions that can be applied across Amazon selling — from product planning to marketing automation. The event featured expert-led speaking sessions alongside booths where attendees could experience AI solutions firsthand and receive one-on-one consultations. LG CNS took part with both a session presentation and a booth.
LG Optapex: An Amazon-Specialized Advertising Solution Built on AI and Mathematical Optimization
LG Optapex is the global version of MOP (Marketing Optimization Platform), a digital marketing optimization platform built on DX technologies such as AI and Mathematical Optimization, and is tailored for Amazon, the world's largest e-commerce channel. Since its launch in Korea in 2023, MOP has grown to serve more than 1,200 corporate clients, and LG Optapex extends that technology and operational experience toward the global market. Amazon has described LG Optapex as an "AI team" of expert AIs that covers the full Amazon performance advertising process, going beyond the simple use of AI.
Session: Profit-Focused Advertising in the Age of Agentic AI
In a 20-minute session beginning at 3 p.m., LG CNS presented on "Running Faster, Smarter, and More Profitable Advertising with AI." Delivered by Jiwon Kim, Head of the MOP/Optapex Division at LG CNS, the session introduced how LG Optapex's AI technology can automate Amazon advertising operations for sellers and maximize their efficiency.
The session opened by tracing how AI has evolved from rule-based automation through machine learning and generative AI toward "agentic AI" that can plan and act on its own — a shift Gartner has projected will see at least 15% of day-to-day work decisions made autonomously through agentic AI by 2028. It then noted that general-purpose AI is limited by a lack of specialized data in any given industry, and explained LG CNS's domain-specific approach — combining general models with an industry's work-in-process data and domain knowledge.
The session also highlighted a challenge familiar to Amazon sellers: those running multiple markets at once spend considerable time checking the performance of dozens of campaigns and manually processing data across channels and segments, and the number of decisions required grows sharply as their product range expands. LG Optapex, the session explained, is designed to have AI take over these repetitive, high-frequency operational tasks.
How LG Optapex Works: Human Strategy, AI Execution
As presented, LG Optapex pairs human-set strategy with AI-driven execution. The seller, acting as Strategic Director, sets the total budget, business goals (sales and profit), and product strategy (priorities by ASIN); an AI Team — comprising a Market Analyst, a Campaign Strategist, and an Execution Engine — then handles everything from market analysis to campaign strategy and execution. This is powered by the "Optapex AI Core," which runs 24/7 with real-time data learning and a performance feedback loop.
LG Optapex lets sellers choose their operational goal — maximizing sales, profit, ad sales, or ROAS. Its distinguishing aim is to go beyond improving advertising efficiency (ROAS) to maximizing sellers' profit: it factors in each product's sales-channel margin, treats advertising as a portfolio optimization problem that weighs sales, efficiency, and organic impact together, and responds to trends and competitor movements in real time. According to LG CNS, this optimization has on average delivered higher total sales, improved ACoS (advertising cost of sales), and reduced operational workload. The approach draws on LG CNS's accumulated optimization research, including a paper on keyword efficiency analysis and bid optimization published in the Journal of the Korean Institute of Industrial Engineers (2022).
Booth: An "AI Team" Covering the Full Amazon Advertising Journey
At its booth, LG CNS ran consultations under the theme of an "AI Team" that covers the entire Amazon performance advertising process. Visitors were invited to complete a survey capturing their seller profile and scale of operations, and those who wished to continue received one-on-one consultations featuring solution walkthroughs and live demonstrations.
Sellers who visited the booth were also offered the following benefits, tied to adopting LG Optapex:
An Amazon advertising analysis report and one consulting session (with LG Optapex integration) — a chance to diagnose a seller's current Amazon advertising and explore directions for improvement.
In-depth LG Optapex onboarding (with LG Optapex integration) — hands-on support through the adoption stage so sellers can apply LG Optapex to live advertising operations.
A one-month managed service (with a paid LG Optapex subscription) — one month of professionally managed advertising operations.
